ARC Canada to Participate in New Brunswick OCNI Webinar Event

Saint John, New Brunswick - ARC Canada is pleased to announce its participation in the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) webinar event “Growing the New Brunswick Nuclear Supply Chain”. The webinar event to be held on Friday, October 30th at 2 PM (ADT) is supported by partners including the Atlantic Clean Energy Alliance (ACEA), NB Power and Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB).

New Brunswick is powering growth with continued discussion and expansion of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology through ARC Canada technology development which could provide an economic opportunity for the nuclear supply chain based in New Brunswick. Speakers will include representatives from various government departments, various associations, our nuclear cluster partners, NB Power and Moltex Energy, as well as various other companies. Included in the discussion will be a review of “best practices” through case studies on supply chain development.

“This is a tremendous economic opportunity for the Province of New Brunswick,” says President & CEO, Norman JD Sawyer, a native New Brunswicker. “Through early engagements with manufacturers and supply chain participants, we are laying the foundation to establish a Canadian manufacturing hub based out of New Brunswick.”

“OCNI is proud to host this event to show how current nuclear suppliers located outside the region can engage with capable New Brunswick based companies forming partnerships that will provide nuclear qualified components and services to New Brunswick’s two SMR developers and help make the province a leading hub for deploying advanced SMRs domestically and internationally” said OCNI President & CEO, Ron Oberth.

The webinar event is open for public registration on Friday, October 30th, 2020.
