ARC Canada to Participate in First Nations Power Authority National SMR Forum

Saint John, New Brunswick - ARC Canada President & CEO, Norman JD Sawyer, will be participating in panel discussions on November 17th at the First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) National Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Virtual Forum. The two-day event supported through Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) will bring together Indigenous business and community leaders with industry and government to discuss collaboration and opportunities for investing in SMRs and other clean energy technologies.

The FNPA’s SMR Virtual Forum will provide ARC Canada an opportunity to discuss its inherently safe, low cost, reliable clean energy and revolutionary waste reduction technology being developed in New Brunswick, as a Canadian clean energy solution. A strong advocate for Indigenous relations, ARC Canada President & CEO, Norman JD Sawyer, always welcomes invitations to participate in such Forums as it allows the showcase of great work being undertaken in New Brunswick. “Early engagement with the Indigenous community has always been a top priority for ARC Canada” says Sawyer, “the strength of our Nation is through inclusivity and diversity, and these opportunities to promote dialog and discussion are welcome. Indigenous inclusivity is built into ARC Canada’s business practices and hiring strategy, leading to sustainable economic reconciliation for that community and benefits to our organization.”

The FNPA is the only North American non-profit Indigenous owned and controlled organization developing power projects with Indigenous communities. FNPA bridges the gap between industry, government, and Indigenous communities to evaluate and develop Indigenous owned power generation projects. FNPA leverages project development expertise, network of industry experts and technical advisors to develop projects resulting in increased economic benefits for First Nations Communities.

ARC Canada is proud to be a “Megawatt” sponsor for the FNPA National SMR Forum taking place November 16th & 17th, 2020. ARC Canada will present its versatile clean energy technology on November 17th, at 2pm (AST).
